About police officer Habibur Rahman, BPM (Bar), PPM

Habibur Rahman is a Deputy Inspector General of Bangladesh Police. (Bangladesh Police  Headquarters‎)

Habibur Rahman was born in 1967 at Gopalganj, Dhaka, Bangladesh. After completing his primary and high school education from Gopalganj he came to Dhaka for higher education. He completed his graduation from University of Dhaka, Institute of Education and Research.

He joined Bangladesh Police as an Assistant Superintendent of Police on 22 February 1998 through the 17th BCS examination. Then he continued to hold responsible positions in some important posts of Bangladesh Police.

Notable, he was in charge of the police superintendent of Dhaka district, the capital of Bangladesh. And manage responsibilities successfully. After that he was promoted to the post of Additional DIG in the Police Headquarters for a long time and handle the important tasks.. He also wrote a book  First Resistance to Liberation War (Bengali: মুক্তিযুদ্ধের প্রথম প্রতিরোধ)  which is appreciated by people. In this time he got many awards from prime minister including Bangladesh Police Medal (BPM) and President Police Medal (PPM).

Currently in 2018 he is promoted to Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of Bangladesh Police (Administration and Discipline) and in charge at Police Headquarters, Dhaka, Bangladesh.

Habibur Rahman, is trying not only to his personality but also to try to uphold the role of the whole police force in an acceptable form. He is also doing lot's of social works and smart contributions to society.
He took step to change more then thousands of poor and neglected snake charmers life.They was totally out of society and was drugs smuggler and involved with lots of crime. But now they are dreaming a beautiful life and a beautiful hope. Habib provide them lots of employment and manage training for various jobs. Now they are leading a beautiful Life.

He is the president and founder of the Liberation war Museum of Bangladesh Police. The first armed resistance of Bangladesh Police in the Liberation War and to highlight the glorious history of sacrificing the police members of the nine-month bloody struggle on 24 March, 2013, the first journey started at the telecom building of Rajarbagh Police Lines, 'Bangladesh Police Liberation War Museum'. After that honorable Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina inaugurated the new permanent building of the museum next to the Police Monument at Rajarbagh on 23rd January 2017.  Habibur Rahman took the first step to save the history by a museum.

He is also the general secretary of Bangladesh's national game Bangladesh National Kabaddi Federation.

Habib is the founder of  police blood bank of Bangladesh. The bank has collected thousands of bags of blood so far. Running from the Central Police Hospital, Rajarbagh.

Now he is working to change the neglected human kind in society who are the common gender people. Habib is trying to bring them in general way to live. Providing them employment and manage training for various jobs.
